Katherine wrote: "Kudo-Abuor is southwest of Mendefera. It's kind of hard to find on a map, but if you were to place it, follow the Asmara-Mendefera road south past Mendefera towards Adi Quala. Half-way between Mendefera and Adi Quala is a little stop off called Imni Haili. You would take that road west 16k, past Durko. The road winds 13 more km to the north and to the west. some villages that you pass include May Leham and Adi Hiis. Kudo-Abuor is kind of at the end of the road, although villages spread out from there in all directions.

About the community: Kudo-Abuor means "Where the oxen take rest."
