Michael Ryan wrote: "Forto is the common name due to the most intact Italian fort located above the village, and Adi Meshal is the village's official name. Please list both if possible. If not, Forto Cadurno is best. Forto is located south of Senafe, on the road between Senafe and Adigrat, 5 miles north of the Ethiopian border."
